Choosing a water bottle that survives school
Look for a secure lid and a strap, since most losses and leaks come from the closure rather than the bottle. Straw-and-sipper designs suit younger children who cannot yet tilt a bottle reliably. Check capacity against the age of the child: an over-large bottle is heavy in a school bag and often comes home still full. Anything that will hold water all day should be easy to open fully for cleaning, because narrow necks are where residue builds up.
